About Coin Brief
Coin Brief is a crypto news desk. It is organised by chain — Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, XRP, everything else — because that is how the news actually arrives: a client release, a merged improvement proposal, a regulator's decision. Each of those is an event with a document behind it, and the document is where we start.
How news is handled here
Every item links its primary source, and says so. A release tag, an improvement proposal, a client changelog, an enforcement action — you get the address and can check it in one click. Where a trade publication had it first, we say that, and then we open what it was reporting on.
Desks are fed mostly by the projects themselves. The Bitcoin desk reads Optech, Bitcoin Core and the BIPs tree; Ethereum reads the Foundation, the EIPs tree and the client releases; the same pattern for every chain. Trade coverage is a pointer, not a source.
Every item carries a line of judgement. What changed, and what follows from it for someone running a node, integrating a client or reading a rule — or, often, why nothing follows at all.
What this site will not do
No price calls, no targets, no trading advice. Not "this is going up", not "this is a buy", not a chart with a line drawn on it. Where a market move is part of the story it is reported as reported, attributed to whoever measured it, and never explained by us.
No paid coverage, no affiliate links, no referral codes, no token payments. Nothing on this site is for sale, and there is no link here that earns anything if you click it. If that ever changes it will say so on this page, in this paragraph.
No treating a project's own claim as a fact. A foundation blog, a vendor write-up and a forum thread each carry an interest, and the piece names it rather than leaving the reader to guess. A forum post is a discussion, not a decision.
Nothing here is generated from a feed. No rewriting of other people's reporting into different words, and the German edition is written, not machine-translated.
