Agave v4.3.2 ships as a stable release with VoteState and Alpenglow-timing fixes
Anza released Agave v4.3.2, the Solana validator client, on 15 October 2026. The release notes mark it as "a stable release suitable for Testnet, Devnet and Mainnet Beta" and point to the 4.3 changelog. It is an incremental patch on the 4.3 line — the notes list 832 commits to master since the release and a chain of version bumps from 4.3.0 through 4.3.2 — rather than a feature release.
Vote-account serialization. Several backported changes touch how vote state is stored and read. One has VoteStateHandler use wincode for serialization (backport of #15972), and another improves the performance of serializing and deserializing VoteStateVersions (backport of #15986). A related runtime change avoids a calloc when creating a new AccountSharedData in vote_reward.rs (backport of #16101), and two changes narrow check_and_store() — one to AccountSharedData (backport of #15398) and one to check the StakeStateV2 tag in the stakes cache (backport of #16050).
Alpenglow-related timing. The changelog includes fixes tied to Alpenglow slot timing: using Alpenglow slot timing for transaction buffering (backport of #15589), making that timing available on Windows (backport of #15886), and a fix for a flaky alpenglow_basic_equivocation local-cluster test (backport of #14778). These are plumbing and test fixes in the client; they are not themselves the network upgrade.

Dependencies and CI. Much of the rest is maintenance: vendoring quinn-proto 0.11.15 and quinn 0.11.11, vendoring quinn for a specific RUSTSEC advisory, ignoring rustls advisories judged not to affect Agave, and a set of CI changes (token handling for version-bump PRs, buildkite pipeline fixes). There is also a ledger-tool bump to the maximum supported transaction version and a bigtable fix to avoid uploading past the blockstore's max root.
Because this is a patch release built largely from backports, the operational reading is simple: it is a stable build for all three clusters, and operators should take the exact upgrade steps and any config notes from the linked 4.3 changelog rather than from this summary.
